About the university

A university built on an open door

Open Door University is an online university created to expand access to meaningful, affordable higher education for displaced and underserved youth. Our inaugural semester begins on 1 September 2026.

Our story

Why Open Door University exists

Open Door University was created for learners whose education has been interrupted — by displacement, conflict, distance or cost.

Our first semester begins on 1 September 2026, with two majors delivered entirely online: Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence, and Psychology Counseling (Trauma Care).

We are starting small on purpose. Keeping the programme focused lets us concentrate on teaching quality, student support and affordability.
